13889 Kenyan road
The roads started out quite wide...
13890 Kenyan main road
... but they were soon getting smaller ...
13891 Kenyan road

13895 Machteld at Curio shop
Machteld at one of the many Curio shops, where we stopped for a break.
13906 Painted wall advertisment
Lots of the shops have really cool painted adverts on them.
13909 Stopping for lunch
Our first stop somewhere between Nairobi and Mount Kenya.
13911 Flowers
Flowers at the side of the road.

There where lots of monkeys, mainly baboons on our first campsite.
13925 Baboon with baby Monkey
aaaawwww the baby baboon is so cute.
13930 Yellow flowers after rain
Some really pretty yellow flowers with some drops of rain. I have no clue what the name of the flower is though.
13931 Yellow flower after rain
Same flower as the previous one. Still have no idea what it's called.
13948 If you have nothing to do please dont do it here
I really like this sign: If you have nothing to do please don't do it here!
13949 Warning to forest destroyers
How about this for a warning:

'Warning to the forest destroyers' The forest is protected by forest guards and trained forest tree nursery youth volunteers are watching the forest trespassers, charcoal burners & illegal tree cutter, in case they ask you to stop, do so. otherwise you will be considered a forest destroyer & the forest will destroy you. For all lawful activity please obtain a greencard from the forester in charge. Visitors to the Maumau caves must be accompanied by an authorised guide from banty.

The forest will destroy you?!? Interesting.
13951 Ex black mamba
An ex black mamba snake. I've been told even dead it's deadly, due to its poisonous skin.
13952 Gunther, Darren and Catherine at the campfire
And we finished the first day with a nice campfire at night.
